What does the "Tolerance" measurement mean?

The tolerance of +/- 37.5ml is for the nominal volume of 5000ml. If you fill the cylinder until 5000ml there can be a difference of 37.5ml. Therefore this is the tolerance accepted which is also given in the DIN EN ISO 4788.
